A Note to Self

Beneath the **whispering willow**, where secrets and time entwine,

I pen a note of gratitude to the me of olden time.

For every step through shadow’s vale, for courage bold and true,

For health’s embrace, a journey’s grace, and mornings kissed with dew.

For wisdom sought in pages wrought, in life’s unending school,

For resilience in the face of trials, when the world could be so cruel.

For pennies saved for rainy days, now sunshine in my purse,

For love’s sweet thread through life’s rich tapestry, a blessing, not a curse.

For passions chased, in art’s embrace, for beauty freely sown,

For every seed of joy I’ve planted, now in full splendor grown.

So here beneath the willow’s breath, I thank myself of yore,

For dreams and deeds that set the stage for all that’s yet in store.

A proud grandmother, student, and emerging writer, I am currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing at Baker College.
