What is your career plan?

For decades, my career has been shaped by dedication, service, and growth. From administrative leadership to communications, I’ve woven a professional path filled with learning, connections, and meaningful impact. And now, as I continue to pursue my degree and deepen my passion for writing, I find myself stepping into a chapter that feels more personal—one shaped by creativity, adventure, family, and the resilience of love.

The Journey of Love & Loss

For 38 years, I built a life alongside my husband—33 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, challenges, and the beautiful chaos of raising three children. We shared dreams, built a family, and watched our legacy grow with the arrival of four incredible grandchildren.

Then, life shifted in ways I never imagined. I became a widow, stepping into a new reality shaped by grief but also deep gratitude for the years we had.

But love has a way of surprising us, of finding us when we least expect it. In time, I reconnected with someone who had once been part of my story—my high school sweetheart, my prom date. An “old new” love, a familiar soul wrapped in the freshness of a new beginning.

Love evolves, just as life does. It remains, even in absence, and it returns in ways that remind us that joy, connection, and companionship are never truly lost—they simply take new forms.

The Evolution of Dreams

There was a time when career ambitions dominated my focus, where professional goals and responsibilities structured each day. And while those years were fulfilling, I now welcome a new kind of ambition—the kind that is driven by personal creativity and the desire to explore the world with fresh eyes.

Writing has always been a quiet companion, waiting for its moment to take center stage. Now, I get to let stories, poetry, and reflections breathe—to shape words into something lasting. Blogging allows me to document experiences, share insights, and connect with readers on a deeper level, threading together thoughts and memories into something meaningful.

Travel as a Storyteller’s Companion

Alongside writing, travel has become my window into new perspectives. Whether wandering through bustling cities or finding solace in nature’s embrace, each journey inspires, reshapes, and adds richness to the tapestry of my life.

There’s something magical about discovering new places—not just in miles, but in the lessons they hold. Each destination whispers a story, and I’m excited to listen, explore, and bring those narratives to life through words.

The Greatest Joy: Family

While creativity and adventure fuel my passions, family remains at the heart of everything. My grandchildren are my greatest source of light—reminders of laughter, curiosity, and the simple, beautiful moments that make life extraordinary. Watching them grow, experiencing their wonder, and being present in their lives is a gift beyond measure.

The Road Ahead

This chapter is one of balance—of honoring my past career while embracing the endless possibilities ahead. Whether through writing, travel, love, or precious family moments, I’m stepping forward with excitement, ready to let passion shape my days.
