A thousand miles stretch out, a ribbon in the night,

The hum of wheels whispers tales of love’s flight.

Each mile, a memory, each turn, a soft sigh,

The road unfolds like a starlit sky.

In the rearview mirror, your image fades,

A haunting echo of love’s sweet parades.

The distance grows, but my heart clings tight,

To the warmth of your hand in the fading light.

Love’s journey, a path of both joy and sorrow,

Leaving today with no promise of tomorrow.

Yet, in this heartbreak, where tears freely roam,

I carry your love a thousand miles from home.

The headlights pierce through the shroud of dark,

Illuminating the void where once sparked a lark.
