Happy Father’s Day. 💙

Happy Father’s Day to the men who have stood in the role of father, even when the path wasn’t perfect.

To my dad—though he may not have been the best father, he was always there. To my brother—who, without children of his own, stepped in as a steady presence and even took my father’s place on my wedding day, offering me $100 to turn back (a moment I still smile about). To my husband—our marriage wasn’t always easy, but our vows kept us connected through 38 years together, and in that, we built a family full of love—three wonderful children and beautiful grandchildren. To my boyfriend—my high school sweetheart, who life led in another direction, yet somehow we found our way back to each other after 40 years. A father who walked his own difficult road, raising three children as a single dad—not always knowing the right steps but always giving them his whole heart.

Fatherhood comes in many forms—some traditional, some unexpected, some beautifully unconventional. Today, I celebrate them all.

To my friends who are fathers, to the women who have stepped into that role with strength and love—I see you, I appreciate you, and I honor the ways you show up for those who rely on you.

Happy Father’s Day. 💙

The Fathers We Find 💙

Not always perfect, not always whole,

Yet standing steady when the world takes its toll.

A father by blood, a father by grace,

Some wear the title, some step in its place.

A brother who fills the spaces left bare,

A husband who stays despite trials laid there.

A love rekindled, a man who has tried,

Raising his children with heart open wide.

Fatherhood isn’t just one steady form,

It bends and it shifts, through calm and through storm.

It lives in the hands that guide and uplift,

In lessons hard-learned, in presence—a gift.

So here’s to the fathers, the mothers who stand,

The ones who raise love with a careful hand.

For in their footsteps, we come to see—

Fatherhood is more than a name, it’s a legacy.
