Hesperia Community Schools is excited to introduce PowerSchool, a new Student Information System, launching for the 2025–2026 school year! This change reflects Hesperia’s ongoing commitment to better communication, simplified processes, and stronger partnerships between school and home.
📫 Watch Your Mailbox Access IDs and passwords for each student will be arriving soon! Once received, you can create your PowerSchool Parent Portal account at https://hesp.powerschool.com using the District Code: DTTX.

Come to one of the Open Lab Enrollment Days:
- July 28 – 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM @ HS/MS Media Center
- July 29 – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM @ Elementary Computer Lab

🧭 Behind the Scenes: Interview with Superintendent Mey
To help families understand this transition, I sat down with Superintendent Mey and asked the most common questions from parents:
1️⃣ Why is Hesperia switching from Skyward to PowerSchool? “This move allows us to consolidate and streamline how families access student information, making communication smoother and more efficient. Skyward is no longer available.”
2️⃣ How will PowerSchool improve communication? “Parents will get real-time access to grades, attendance, schedules, and updates—all from one easy-to-use platform.”
3️⃣ Will parents need to create new accounts? “Yes. Step-by-step instructions will be mailed to each family with login credentials. You can use a desktop or mobile device to create your account.”
4️⃣ What features does PowerSchool offer that Skyward didn’t? “It’s more modern, mobile-friendly, and includes integrated messaging and enhanced reporting tools.”
5️⃣ What about privacy and security? “We take data protection seriously. PowerSchool meets rigorous standards for privacy and secure access.”
6️⃣ Will families get training or tutorials? “Absolutely. We’ll offer information sessions and online guides to help parents navigate the system.”
7️⃣ How will grades and attendance tracking be affected? “PowerSchool streamlines updates, making report cards and attendance records easier to access and more timely.”
8️⃣ Can PowerSchool connect to other tools we use? “Yes, it integrates with our current learning platforms to create a more connected experience for students and families.”
9️⃣ What can parents do to prepare? “Watch for emails, attend info sessions, and use the mailed setup guide to get started.”
🔟 How will the district make sure feedback is heard? “We’re committed to listening. Parent and teacher feedback will shape how we adjust during the rollout.”
