💚 I’m building something rooted in love, legacy, and nature—The Willow Lodge, a rustic retreat where guests can unplug, reconnect, and feel at home among the trees.

With heart, hope, and family hands, this dream is finally taking shape. I’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign to help bring it to life, and every share or gift moves us closer to opening the doors.

🛠️ What We Still Need Thanks to generous souls, we’ve already received materials like lumber, drywall, and more—but there’s still a path ahead. Our current wish list includes: • Dumpster rental for construction cleanup • Additional building supplies and insulation • Shower unit and plumbing materials • Cozy furnishings for guests • Smart lock and exterior lighting • STR licensing, insurance, and compliance costs • Guest welcome items and guidebooks • Emergency funds for repairs or code upgrades

🌿 Growing Through Grants & Connection

In addition to community support, I’m actively applying for small business grants and exploring loan options. I’m also connecting with local agencies and mentors who share a passion for rural development and wellness-focused lodging. Every step is rooted in vision—and every helping hand gets us closer to creating a space of rest and renewal.

Nature lives quietly and fully just beyond my deck—lush trees, soft grasses, and the gentle footsteps of deer who visit like old friends. Each sunrise spills over wild blooms and birdsong, reminding me that restoration starts right here, in the stillness of my own backyard.

Winding gently through our wooded acres, each trail invites guests to pause, listen, and wander. Designed with care using natural clearings and family-built pathways, these trails will offer peaceful walks beneath towering trees, spots to sit with a journal or thermos, and glimpses of deer passing quietly. Whether for morning reflection or sunset strolls, they’ll be paths toward presence—simple, grounding, and full of Michigan charm.
