It’s the name my parents chose for me with love and intention. If I had been a boy, they would have named me Michael—a strong, timeless name. Instead, I became Michelle, the feminine form of Michael, and I’ve carried it through classrooms, kitchens, fundraisers, and family gatherings. It’s been written on party invites, blog posts, and handwritten notes tucked into care packages. It’s the name I answer to when someone needs help, encouragement, or a little extra heart.

The name Michelle means “Who is like God?”—a question, a reflection, a reminder of humility and grace. It’s a name that calls me to live with compassion, to serve with intention, and to lead with love.
