Echoes of the Willow

Life has a way of sweeping us into seasons where everything blooms at once — love, family, dreams, responsibilities, and the quiet work of becoming.

These past weeks have been beautifully full. I’ve been spending precious time with my love and my family, tending to home projects that have been waiting patiently for their turn, and pouring myself into the spaces that matter most. My days have been a mix of paintbrushes, laughter, sawdust (and drywall dust), long talks, and the kind of moments that refill the soul.

And woven through all of that, I’ve been working hard behind the scenes — applying for scholarships to support my college journey and submitting grant applications to help bring my dream Airbnb, The Willow Lodge, to life. It’s been a lot of paperwork, a lot of hope, and a lot of trusting the process.

What it hasn’t been is a season of polishing my books — and that’s okay.

My stories are still here, resting quietly beneath the willow’s shade. They haven’t gone anywhere. They’re simply waiting for me to return with fresh eyes and a heart that’s been living, learning, and gathering new inspiration.

Even in the busyness, the stories whisper.

Ideas show up while I’m sanding a wall or rearranging a room. Characters tap me on the shoulder while I’m filling out scholarship essays. Creativity doesn’t disappear — it just shifts and finds new ways to breathe.

So yes, the finishing touches on my books are still ahead of me. The store setup is still in progress. But the work continues, slowly and steadily, in its own perfect timing.

Thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and your presence here. When the next chapter is ready — whether it’s a new excerpt, a cover reveal, or the long-awaited release — you’ll be the first to hear the willow whisper.
