What’s the longest book you’ve ever read?

Some books are more than just a story. They’re a commitment.

When I think back on the longest books I’ve read, Stephen King’s The Tommyknockers immediately comes to mind. At the time, it felt like a massive undertaking, but once I was pulled into the story, I couldn’t put it down.

Then again, if we’re talking about an entire series, The Dark Tower is probably the true winner. Spanning thousands of pages across multiple books, it wasn’t just a reading experience. It felt like a journey. The characters became familiar companions, the world grew richer with every installment, and reaching the final page felt like saying goodbye to old friends.

It’s funny how the books we’re most intimidated to start are often the ones that leave the biggest impression. The longer we spend with a story, the more deeply it can become part of us.
